T5 specializes in low and high temperature thermal desorption, a remedial method that reclaims, rather than destroys contaminated soils. Thermal desorption simply removes organic contaminants from the soil, while other environmental remediation methods such as incineration produce ash or other secondary waste streams.
Thermal desorption methods allow treated soils to be reused as fill material, construction aggregate and base for roads, hot mix asphalt and concrete products.
Thermal desorption has proven very effective in reducing concentrations of petroleum products including gasoline, jet fuels, kerosene, diesel fuel, heating oils and lubricating oils. LTTD is applicable to constituents that are volatile at temperatures as great as 1,200 F.
